There are two ways to get involved with MORECare Capacity:

Grey literature survey: To ensure broad scope of the literature the systematic electronic searches will be supplemented with a short semi-structured survey (5 questions) to capture ‘out of view’ best research practice to enable adults who lack capacity to participate in research and processes of consent. If you have undertaken, or are in the process of undertaking research with adults who lack capacity we would like to hear from you to assist with our understanding of the processes of gaining consent from adults who lack capacity. We would greatly appreciate your involvement with the survey and welcome works being undertaken by PhD students.  Please contact us with your expression of interest.   

Stakeholder consultation: The consultation will explore the emerging solutions and barriers to processes of consent for adults with impaired capacity which stem from both the electronic searches and the grey literature survey.  If you are a policy-maker, research regulator, ethics committee member, academic, health and social care professional, or service user and are interested to get involved in the consultation then please contact us. Your contribution will help shape the Methods Guidance on Processes of Consent for Adults Lacking Capacity.
