The Dissemination, Engagement and Empowerment (DEE) programme

What is DEE?

The Dissemination, Engagement and Empowerment (DEE) programme forms one part of project BuildCARE. It is a three-year programme at the heart of the project that includes dissemination to healthcare professionals, policy makers and funders, along with public engagement and empowerment.

The DEE programme is the interface between BuildCARE’s target audiences and the three other components of the project (follow links for further information)-

The International Access, Rights and Empowerment Programme (IARE programme)

The Cicely Saunders International PhD Studentship Programme

Cicely Saunders International Faculty Scholars

What are our aims?

The programme will raise the profile of palliative care by presenting role models to build future capacity by attracting talented individuals to the profession, and will help to prepare society for the implications of an increasingly ageing population.

What does the programme entail?

DEE includes four streams of activity:

  1. The Cicely Saunders events programme
  2. An online activity programme - you can now follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube
  3. Networking and resource development and dissemination
  4. Press and public relations work

A DEE Advisory Group has been to aid the the development and implementation of the DEE programme across all four streams of activity.
